RED Komodo X rental in Dubai starts at AED 900/day for the camera body-only package. The RED Cinema Master Kit is AED 1,400/day. Flagship equipment is AED 1,800/day, or AED 1,000/day with an agreed optional collaboration contribution. Equipment prices exclude the mandatory specialist at their actual agreed fee. No automatic additional discount applies.

Do you deliver the cinema camera rental?

Yes. One scheduled delivery and collection at the same address in Dubai are included. Additional locations and dedicated driver stay require a written route quote. Delivery to other UAE emirates (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, RAK, Ajman, Al Ain and Fujairah) is available by written route quote.

Is the RED Komodo X Netflix approved?

Yes. The RED Komodo X 6K is a Netflix-approved cinema camera with a Super35 global shutter sensor, 16+ stops of dynamic range and REDCODE RAW recording, broadcast and streaming compliant.

Does the rental include a camera operator or specialist?

A Big Story camera assistant is mandatory with each RED package and is quoted separately at their actual agreed fee. They handle setup, rigging, focus pulling, on-set technical support and end-of-day teardown.

What is included in the RED Komodo X flagship bundle?

The flagship bundle (AED 1,800/day equipment, or AED 1,000/day with agreed collaboration) is a complete film set: RED Komodo X 6K body, DZOFILM Arles T1.4 cine prime lens set, Aputure and Nanlite lighting, a Zoom F8n Pro audio recording rig, wireless monitoring and follow focus, and grip. A mandatory camera assistant is quoted separately at their actual agreed fee; Dubai delivery and collection at the same address are included.

Yes. BIG STORY · RED RENTAL serves the whole UAE. We deliver RED Komodo X rental kits to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Al Ain and Fujairah with transport added to the rental invoice.

Rental terms

Your completed rental agreement and booking schedule record the accepted price, dates, project, equipment and route. Existing signed bookings retain their agreed terms.

Rates and confirmation

Regular Flagship equipment AED 1,800/day; optional collaboration equipment AED 1,000/day. Both require a separately quoted specialist at their actual agreed fee, passed through without markup. No security deposit. No VAT charged. A project brief is required. One RED camera is shared across all three package configurations. Requests and payment alone do not confirm availability.

Full agreed rental fees before dispatch; no security deposit. Written confirmation only after dates, scope, crew, route, agreement and payment are verified.

Optional collaboration and confidentiality

Optional collaboration: AED1,000/day equipment with one agreed production-account credit/tag or an agreed BTS contribution. No requirement for every crew member to post. Final-film sharing is optional and needs separate permission. Scope, rights and any embargo are agreed before confirmation. Regular Flagship equipment: AED1,800/day with no publicity obligation. Both rates exclude the mandatory specialist, quoted at their actual agreed fee.

Selecting collaboration on an enquiry expresses interest only. We agree the contribution, authorised rights, permitted material, channels and timing in writing before confirming the rate. Client approval and any embargo apply before publication. Reviews are voluntary and never a condition of pricing. No automatic footage licence, individual crew-posting duty or transfer of confidential material is created.

Hours and overtime

9 elapsed hours from agreed on-site call to safe hand-back, including setup, breaks and pack-down. Overtime is 10% of the agreed equipment and assistant daily fees per hour, by actual minutes and subject to agreement. The written quote shows the amount after equipment and specialist fees are agreed. Separate transport costs are excluded. Standalone item custody and late-return terms are agreed in the booking schedule.

Delivery and collection

Dubai, one address, one agreed delivery and collection, no location move or dedicated driver stay; scheduled access and loading confirmed.

Additional locations, different collection addresses, extra trips, dedicated driver stay and other emirates require a fixed written route quote. Route changes require an agreed revised price before commitment. The quote lists inclusions and approved extras. There is no unquoted retrospective fuel or mileage charge.

Cancellation

Written notice to hi@filmwithbigstory.com or +971 52 841 8108 is timed from evidenced receipt to each affected day’s agreed call time in Dubai, including weekends. Each day is assessed separately.

These are maximum charges. Equipment recovery is limited to documented net loss; assistant charges apply only where confirmed and actually owed. Rebooking and avoided costs reduce recovery. Only separately approved, already committed and unrecoverable third-party costs may be added. No double recovery or charges for unworked overtime or unincurred transport. Undisputed refunds are initiated within seven business days after the calculation is agreed. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

Rescheduling and service failure

One date move requested at least 72 hours before the earliest affected call is free of equipment and assistant cancellation charges if replacement dates are within 60 days and resources are available. Previously approved unrecoverable third-party costs remain payable. Later or further changes use the cancellation calculation; the remaining balance is credited or refunded if no new booking is agreed.

If we cannot supply the agreed safe service, we propose a replacement or reschedule for approval; unsuitable alternatives may be declined and unperformed services refunded. Events making performance impossible or unlawful are assessed under the agreement and applicable law, with no lost-profit cancellation fee merely for that event.

Care and permissions

Condition is jointly recorded at handover and return. Responsibility is based on evidenced cause, excluding normal wear, latent defects and damage caused by Big Story or its assistant. Any insurance requirement must be separately agreed. Marketing, BTS capture and footage use require separately recorded permission. A handover signature does not waive unknown defects or disputed claims.
